Host a party
Ask guests to bring a new or gently-used book for children six months through age five and raise funds for our program.
Organize a book drive
Host a new or gently used book drive at your company, church, school or community center. We specifically need books for children birth through age 3.
- Find a Reach Out and Read Iowa program in need of books by contacting our Executive Director Molly Topf (molly@reachoutandreadiowa.org).
- Donated books should be developmentally and culturally-appropriate.
- Used books must be clean and readable with intact covers and pages.
- Hardcover picture books with brightly-colored pictures and interesting stories are ideal.
- For an example of suggested children's books, please refer to the recommended List.
